
I was actually studying this classic Ingres painting as inspiration for the color palette. And yes, I do realize how offensive this combination must be to all the art purists out there. Ah well.

It's been a while, I've been working lately on some stuff I can't post quite yet. In the meantime I would admonish you to check out the incredibly talented Joe Bluhm's new sketchbook. It's chock full of some great drawings and quotes from a number of artists on the benefits of keeping a sketchbook.
Randall Sly put together a fantastic sketchbook of a bunch of different artists during Comic-Con this year and is auctioning it off on ebay.
